Big Village Events is a completely free service that is available for all in the community to use! To view the current list of events, click ‘List Events’ on the menu above. (Note that it may take a few seconds for the events to appear as they are sorted into order.)
Advertising your event If you would like to use this free service, all you need is a valid e-mail address (so we can send you a password) and a User ID of your choice. There are three simple steps to advertising your event on the site: 1) Request an account Click ‘Register’ on the menu above. When the ‘Sign Up’ window appears, enter a User ID of your choice (e.g. jsmith1234), enter your full e-mail address and click the ‘Create’ button.
2) Check your e-mail Big Village Events is an automated service. A password will be sent to you as soon as your account is created. Depending on the efficiency of your e-mail system, you could be using the service within minutes of requesting an account. (If you do not receive your password within an hour or so then you may have not entered your e-mail details correctly, or there may be a problem with your e-mail system.) 3) Advertise your event Click ‘Add Event’ – a ‘Log On’ window will appear. Enter your User ID and password, click the ‘Logon’ button and follow the instructions that appear.
Your event will appear on the list as soon as it has been validated. Unless, you decide to remove it yourself, it will remain for approximately 30 days whereupon it will automatically be deleted
Frequently Asked Questions Can I advertise more than one event on the site?
Yes! So long as the service is not obviously being abused, you may advertise as many events as you like. Do I need a new password each time I wish to advertise?
No. Once an account has been created, you can use the same User ID and password whenever you wish to advertise an event. I have forgotten my password, what can I do?
There is an option on the ‘Log On’ screen to request a new password. This will be sent to the e-mail address you entered when the account was created. I have used the service in the past, but can no longer log on with my User ID and password, what can I do?
If you do not use the system for more than three months, then your account may be removed. Simply go to Step 1 and request a new account.
I have changed my e-mail address since I last used the service, is this a problem?
No and yes! So long as it hasn’t been more than 3 months since you last used the service, you can continue to use the same User ID and password. However, if you request a new password it will be sent to your old e-mail address. You can, of course, create a new account using your new e-mail address, but the system will probably require you to use a different User ID.
I have an account with Big Village Free Ads, can I use the same User ID and password?
No. The two systems, although very similar in appearance and operation, are independent of one another.
